Hi, Are you using BMA530 shuttle board for example at https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Bosch-Sensortec/Shuttle-Board-3.0-BMA530?qs=2wMNvWM5ZX52z%2FxyZwwbtQ%3D%3D or you soldered BMA530 on your own PCB? The hot issue may come from soldering. Have you tried to write value of 0x0B to register 0x34 for active-high, push-pull and long pulse(10us) to see if the hot issue is still there? Thanks.

Hi, Unfortunately we don't have any e-Compass solution (6 axis or 9 axis Sensor) which can be used in your IP67 rated metal enclosure device, because the metal will shield earth magnetic field so that the magnetometer cannot measure earth magnetic field. Thanks.

Hi, Let me try to verify the issue on that topic link. After BMP581 is powered on there is a power-up time of 2ms before first communication. To be safe, you can delay 10ms after hard reset or power on and then read status register. BMP581 is working fine and we don't have errata for that issue. Thanks.
