The datasheet we have for the BMA425 clearly states that tap detection is supported (attached is a screenshot of the datasheet with the relevant information). Is the datasheet maybe incorrect ? Thank you for the advice about using the BMA456, however, considering the still ongoing semiconductor shortage, it will likely be complicated for us to change now.
