Thanks for pointing to the application note. Still, the sensor has to be calibrated in the factory and some conversion factor has to be defined to express the specific forces in g. I am wondering what this conversion factor - calibrated or assumed value for g - is by default. In addition, I am wondering how a constant bias can be distinguished for a variation in g. Maybe I am missing out something, but by simple static calibration as described in the applcation note, it is not possible to do so. No? ... View more

Hm, in case of ADIS, it is only 0.1% deviation from 9.807 m/s^2 standard value. Probably not relevant considering all the other errors of the sensor. Still, for completness and consistency, I would like to know the actual conversion factor, because g is not an SI unit. Somebody out there who can help?  ... View more

Hm, could I measure the conversion factor, that is g magnitude? Probably not, because I have no knowledge about the run-to-run biases. When, what can I do? Any suggestions? ... View more

I am suprised that nobody else came up with this question. To my understanding, knowing magnitude of g would allow the correct conversion to SI units. For example, gravity magintude of certain Analog Device IMUs is not 9.807 but 9.798 m/s^2 depending on the calibration site. I am wondering, if this is the case for Bosch IMUs as well.
