Electronic designers can leverage worldwide "maker" trend and use Raspberry Pi to perform low-level evaluation of IoT components like sensors, motor controllers, switches or GPS subsystems - at least as a starting point for a commercial project. This can be done even without any prior RasPi experience. In particular, you can build a remote controlled, autonomously running IoT node with WiFi interface perform simple I2C transactions to trigger chip action and return data display IoT data on own web page (web server) I spent some time to elaborate a generic evaluation platform which also can be used to create a nice demonstrator of your IoT concept. Such work might be helpful to convince your management and/or customers 😀 If you are interested in my experience, follow this link for further info. Take care, Kersten
