Application Board 3.1 w/ Weird LED Behavior

I have an Application Board 3.1 with an 8x BME690 shuttleboard. The devkit is flashed with v3.1.0 firmware. Initially it seemed to be working:

  • When I held button 2 and reset/toggled power to the unit it would boot into the MTP mode (solid green LED near the buttons). I could see the file directory on my Windows PC with the stored files.

  • When I reset/toggled power without holding button 2 it would flash red consistently (<500ms flashed every 2.5s). At this point I had no .bmeconfig file on the devkit so it was not doing anything useful.

I put the devkit into MTP mode and opened the directory on my PC. There were a handful of .html and .txt files related to Development Desktop software, COINES, etc. I uploaded a .bmeconfig file there without removing those initial files (.html, .txt, etc.) and reset/toggled power on the device. I assumed this would put the devkit into capture mode for data. This is not what seemed to happen.

The LED near the buttons is now showing what seems to be odd behavior. It flashed red (<500ms) every 2.5s still, but it is intermittently flashing dim green in between red flashes. If I try entering the MTP mode now the LED never turns solid green. It turns solid blue. I also can't see the file directory on my PC anymore. I'm guessing I should have removed those initial files when I uploaded the .bmeconfig file?

Is there a way I can erase the flash on the devkit and start over? I've tried re-flashing the v3.1.0 firmware onto the board. It flashes successfully, but I still get the same odd behavior.

Hi jbehle2,

Has to update all the firmware of APP3.1 from the latest COINES(at least above 2.10.x)

Here is the link for downloading COINES:
https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/software-tools/tools/coines/

After installing you should see this folder:

Select the used board can flash all the firmware, the bat scripts had been included in them:

Press the button 2 when flashing if meet any issues about flashing works (make sure the led will change to 'blue' when flashing)

Thanks
