Hello,
we are looking into production for our custom handheld device including a BHI360 + BMM350. Therefore, we are interested in the production steps required for calibration of these sensors. Our end customers should not have to do the calibration routines ideally. We primarily use the 'Game Rotation Vector' and the 'Orientation Vector' data from the BSX sensor fusion. Our questions are:
Can we use calibration data across different devices? Calibrate all sensors for one device and transfer the calibration data to other devices? We experienced some varying level of the yaw drift with this approach so far.
Are there certain other calibration processes we should do for our device/PCB besides the standard per sensor calibration routines (for example Soft-Iron-Calibration)?
Assuming we need to calibrate each device individually in production, what are typically setups for automatic calibration?
Thank you & Best regards
