Decoupling Capacitors for BMI270 and BMM350

Hi there,

I'm an artist and I'm building a wireless device that can turn the motions of my body into sound/music. I'm going to work with an ESP32S3 Mini for calculations and bluetooth and a combination of BMI270 and BMM350 for the data.

I'm not very experienced in the field but I've created a descent schematic with the help of examples and datasheets. Because I'm going to use I2C communication I used the diagram from BMI270 Datasheet 7.3.3 among others.

I'm now in the process of selecting the actual parts. Most of them are easy to find but the more basic parts like capacitors and resistors are giving me some difficulty because there are so many similar options.

Can anybody over here help me with the selection for decoupling capacitors for BMI270 and BMM350?

Sofar I know this:

  • BMI270 needs a ceramic 100 nF capacitor between VDDIO/CBS and ground

  • BMI270 needs a ceramic 100 nF capacitor between VDD and ground

  • BMM350 needs a ceramic 100 nF capacitor between VDDIO and ground

  • BMI270 needs a ceramic 100 nF capacitor between VDD and ground

  • BMM350 needs a ceramic 2.2uF capacitor between CRST and ground

  • The recommended CGB4B3X7R0J225K055AB for the 2.2uF spot is already obsolete, so I need something different

Can I just use any 100 nF capacitor or do I need to consider more things like max V? Are there any specifications for this?

What capacitors would you recommend?

Thx in advance!
Maarten
