Issues with Setting Up Development Desktop 2.1 Using Arduino Nicla Sense ME (BHI260AP)

Hello Bosch Sensortec Community,

We are developing a product based on the BHI260AP smart sensor hardware using the Arduino Nicla Sense ME. I'm encountering some challenges while setting up the Development Desktop 2.1 software and would appreciate your support.

Setup Details:
Hardware: Arduino Nicla Sense ME
Software: Development Desktop 2.1 (downloaded from https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/software-tools/tools/development-desktop-software/)
I followed the installation steps, including installing the drivers as prompted after installation.

Reference Materials:
I'm following this video tutorial: Tutorial_ BHI260AB _ BHA260AB Software Development Kit Installation
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WyLEd2k7Kw

Installation Steps Taken:
1. Installed ARC GNU Toolchain (arc_gnu_2024.06_ide_win_install.exe) from GitHub https://github.com/foss-for-synopsys-dwc-arc-processors/toolchain/releases.
2. Installed BHI260AP SDK v1.1.8.0 (bhi260ap_cus_sdk_v1-1-8-0.zip).
Successfully compiled using build.bat and attempted to load the firmware in release/gccfw via bhy2cli.exe.

Driver Issue:
Initially, when I connected the Arduino Nicla Sense ME to the PC, it appeared as a normal Serial COM port. After updating the driver located at:
Development Desktop 2.1 / USB Driver, it now shows up as "Bosch Sensortec BNO Stick (COM8)" instead of the expected "BST Application Board 2.0" in the Windows Device Manager, as shown in the documentation.

Firmware Update:
As per the documentation, I updated the firmware using the files from:
.\COINES_SDK\v2.9.1\firmware\nicla.
After pressing the button three times, the blue light stayed on continuously, indicating the firmware update was successful. However, upon restarting, the red light blinks.

Current Issues:
1. After launching the software, the device connects (via COM8), but I do not see any graphs or configuration settings on Development Desktop.
2. When I attempt to update the firmware from Development Desktop software, I am prompted to put the device into boot mode by pressing the button three times. However, once I do this, a popup shows the device as disconnected.

Let me know if you need more information, and I'd be happy to provide it. I'm looking forward to your support and guidance in resolving these issues.

Thanks in advance!
