Dear all,
for our development project (a mobile device with a camera system) we are planning to use the BNO055 (9-axis) IMU because of the sensor fusion. We are also discussing to use the BMI085 IMU (6-axis, no sensor fusion). Is the accuracy of the IMU with the 9-axis better than the 6-axis IMU? Is the accuracy difference recognizable?
Are there other important issues for choosing the BNO055 or the BMI085? I also in the datasheet that the BMI085 has less operating power supply.
The bandwidth of the BNO055 has 1000 Hz and the BMI085 from 6 to 684 Hz. Is that recognisable in the practical use (our typical use is holding a smartphone an taking a picture and so there are no fast movements of the device with the IMU)?
Thank you!
Thank you for your help!

Hi,
Using which sensor are mostly depends on your demands.
BNO055 have accel/gyro/magnetic sensor, could output absolute orientation with Fusion software. If you need direct Euler angle or Quaternion vector, BNO055 is suitable.
BMI088 have accel/gyro, could sync accel/gyro data.
Regarding bandwidth, do you mean gyro bandwidth?
