Hello there,
I am using the BMI055 inside the realsense. Does anyone know the noise parameters of the BMI055?
I want to know the random walk parameters and the bias drift or bias stability parameters and the bias correlation time and the bias.
Could anyone please give the parameters?
Thanks very much.

Also, I am wondering what the unit 'g' means in https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/products/motion-sensors/imus/bmi055.html#software. Is the 'g' the gram? Or is it the gravity acceleration? Thanks.

Hi,
Please contact local FAE or distributor to get bias and random walk params, we need sign NDA before release this doc.
BMI055 acc noise density is 150ug/sqrt(hz), 1 ug means 1/10^6 g, 1g=9.8m/s2.

Thanks. But why is it a secret? I saw some other companies open their noises. I mean they post some parameters as "SENSOR SECTION SPECIFICATION" on their website.
For example: https://global.epson.com/products_and_drivers/sensing_system/assets/pdf/m-g370pd_briefsheet_e_rev201...
I do not think that publishing these parameters would hurt their sensors or leak how they produce the sensor.
Thanks.

Hi,
BMI055 gyro typical noise density is 0/014dps/rt(Hz). So the random walk = 0.014 * 60 = 0.84degree/rt(hour).
BMI055 gyro is closed-loop gyro which is the same as the gyro inside BMI085 IMU. The long-term bias instability is less than 2degree/hour at https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/media/boschsensortec/downloads/product_flyer/bst-bmi085-fl000.pdf.
Thanks.
