BMA422 software was not official released on web site and github. If you would like to design a project with BMA422 and request software, you can contact our official distributor(https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/about-us/contact/our-distributors-and-sales-representatives) according your location as the software couldn’t be provided on line, sign software license agreement and get the software.

I have contacted the relevant parties and obtained the API.

I used the API to upload the config file but the result is -5.
What could be the cause?

-5 is not in the range of all returned values.
If you design a project, you can refer previous comment and contact official distributor, get sensor API and off line support.
