We are currently looking at replacing a BMP180 and a seperate temperature/humidity sensor with a sensor that measures all 3. We are looking at the BME280. The sensor will be located in an airflow. The absolute maximum air velocity we expect at the location of the sensor is 15 m/s. Will the BME280 be able to withstand this? Will this air velocity adversely affect the measurement of the barometric pressure?

Hi Nalyo,
Thanks for your inquiry.
The pressure sensor of BME280 can detect air pressure. When there is wind outside, there will be a difference between the measured air pressure and the actual air pressure, which usually needs to be considered in the structural design to avoid the influence of the external environment on the pressure measurement results.
