Hello everyone,
I wanted to know if the BME680 is sensitive to changes in oxygen concentration. For example, if the O2 concentration decreases from 21% to 18%, 15%, 10%, 5%, and finally 0.5%, will there be a change in the output of the sensor? Would the sensor need to be calibrated for O2 concentration? I am looking for data on this, but have not been able to find it. Thanks!

Hi SensorGenie,
Thanks for your inquiry.
O2 is an reaction medium and does not belong to VOCs. BME680 does not support the detection of O2.

Thank you for your comment. What you are talking about is exactly what I refer to. O2 is a reaciton medium. But if the O2 concentration drops, does this affect how the sensor detects VOCs? If so, in what way?

Hi SensorGenie,
With less oxygen, the resistance value output by BME680 will decrease.

Thanks for this! Do you have any links to data showing what this looks like? Would the sensor need to be calibrated for O2 concentration in order to function properly?
