BME688 What does "Sensor State" mean in AI-Studio mobile app

By sensor state I mean the little blue dots that show up once you connect to a BME688 Dev Kit. Is there some numerical value that these are related to, and if so is there a way to get it from the BME688 api or BSEC2 api. Or is it simply the difference from one cycle step's gas resistance to the next for each sensor? The documentation reccomends taking samples when the blue dots are aligned does this include gas inference?
