We are using BHI160B + BMM150 devices in one of our wearable device product. We have used the BHY GitHub library for interfacing the sensors with the host controller.
Presently we are facing YAW drift issue ( around 10deg in 10min) when the wearable device placed stationary and in a very minor vibration environment (vibrations created by table fan). We suspect the issue may be with the magnetometer as we observed variations in the mag x,y,z data wrt time. After studying multiples forum posts we understand 2 points. Point 1 is we are not doing SIC (soft iron correction) and point 2 is we are not changing the preset mode to high accuracy mode using the repetition config for nXY and nZ.
We are using the BHY drivers from GitHub and we didn't find any function call to update the SIC matrix and also does not find any function call to change the repetition config.
Please let us know how can we change these settings to decrease the YAW drift.
