Does the C reference code for 270 facilitate Bluetooth communication

The COINES manual says that only USB is facilitated. Does this mean that Bluetooth can't be implemented in "C". The Python APIs do facilitate Bluetooth but I can't find similar functionality in the C reference code

If you used application Board 2.0 and COINES, there was no software interface to access bluetooth.
