Completely agree on the above. Let me change a bit the question then - how does the BME680 temperature response time compares to BME280 if all factors are considered to be the same? The question has emerged because I'm seeing severe lag difference in the temperature response time between BME280 and BME680 (BME680 being extremely slow). I suppose that the cause for this may be the PCB design, but before looking in that direction I need some additional information that doesn't seems to be published.

What is the BME680 response time for the temperature changes? The specs provide such for the gas sensor and for the humidity, but does not provide such for the temperature.

Please, share your ideas for alternatives 🙂 . I've evaluated the Sensiron SGP30 as alternative, but I still prefer the BME680 over it. Despite of this 3 month old regression with the state saving/loading.

Just to report some update on the data collection. With the latest BSEC library version this seems to be working just fine. I'll try for a few more days and most likely I'm going to close this as resolved.

I'll try to do that, but I'll re-start a sensor with the latest BSEC (1.4.7.2) and after a few days I'll reproduce the issue. The sensor provided as example above is working for several (6+) months and I'm not sure if I can export all the requested data. I suppose this would take about a week to be done.
