We have an application where the BMI160 sensor can see a range of accelerations (~0g to ±5g) depending on the orientation and dynamics of the system. In all of our testing to date, the sensor has been initialized in static 1 g conditions and then after start-up will continuously operate in 0g to ±5g without issue. On start-up are any integrity checks performed that are expecting the sensor to be reading 1 g? In other words, are there steps in the internal initialization process of the sensor that would stop it from initializing in less than 1 g or greater than 1 g environments?
