We are a Smart Rotamach company working with an innovative client company in the US.
We are developing a product for them in which we understand the head orientation based on your BHI160B IMU.
We facing some of the basic issues with the IMU related to the
very noticeable heading drift,
Drifted Absolute heading,
recalibrate every time on power cycle - Is it a must or can we store calib values and reapply?
Can we stop auto-calibration, so I can work with stored calib values?
Is this device meant for using a dynamic Inclinometer application- Like the ST app note shows?
My biggest Disappointment is
I am using a 9DOF now with BMM150, but still I cannot say that I can give drift less IMU values to client? why? even with proper calibration I cannot have drift less values?
And Client is looking at ST IMU's and stating they can give precise drift less values which bosch cannot.
I dont want to move to some other, as I trust Bosch on technical development.
Yes, I know BHI160B is in EOL but as the client has products and he is testing, I need to know limitations and what we can and what we cannot?
The client is ready to take support from Bosch and is there a possibility we can talk to the technical team to understand the limitations?
