BHI360 SDK Availability

I was previously using the SDK for the BHI260AP to develop custom fusion algorithms. The documentation for the newly released BHI360 specifies an SDK but there is currently no download link on the product page.

Is this SDK available?
Is gcc still usable or is MetaWare's compiler required?

Hi Noxz,

We have BHI360 internal SDK version. If you design project and need it, you can get in contact with one of our official distributors or sales representatives to allow us to review each project on a case-by-case basis. And apply for it.

Thanks for this information, I will reach out to a local sales rep if we switch over and need the SDK..

Although I am currently using the BHI260AP, the AI routines are overpowered (not used) for my fusion algorithms and I was likely going to gravitate towards the BHA260 due to lower cost.. However, with the new 3xx series I am curious about the main differences with the BHI360. It would be nice to see a side-by-side comparison, because even looking through the datasheets, the Fuser2 ARC core appears to be exactly the same... what's the difference and why might I "upgrade" ?

Hi Noxz,

From the perspective of supported functions, there is not much difference between BHI360 and BHI260AP. But BHI360 has a smaller size and fewer pins than BHI260, which will occupy less space on the PCB.

I was interested in comparing the BHA260AB with the BHI360, not the BHI260AP..

Size is actually a decent concern as the end product is a wearable..

but more importantly is cost and availability. It appears from major distributors that the BHA260AB is relatively low in stock (maybe 500 available), and this alone may be enough of a reason to focus on the BHI360..
