i have a strange behavior which i can't exactly reproduce, but it seems so that the BME280 stops working.
In some cases the BME280 works well, but in other cases it stucks after 2 month's.
Only a Hard-Reset of the BME280 fixes the problem.
We use a software i2c modul which uses a frequency of about 55kHz.
The same software i2c modul is used in other project's without a BME280 without any issues.
From the perspective of I2C communication, BME280 is I2C slave device, all communication operations are initiated by the I2C host.
When you described BME280 stopped working, could you capture I2C communication waveform to check whether there was hardware communication signal, and whether the communication content was normal.
the problem is that the sensor value's in our devices stops changing and we can't get the waveform from our customers.
When they send us the devices back again, everything works fine because the power supply reset's the device.
Are there known issues or an errata sheet for the BME280?
Thanks in advice.
