We have purchased 19 BMI088 sensors and all are placed in one pcb.The data is logged for 48hrs at constant temperture of 25deg with 100Hz ODR and Bandwidth of 32Hz.We estimate bias instability of all 57 sensors(19*3 axis) from allan variance plot as below.
i. 18 sensors got < 3 deg/hr.
ii. 10 sensors got > 5 deg/hr and less than 9 deg/hr.
iii.remaining sensors(29) got 3 to 5 deg/hr.
but in BMI088 flyer,the bias instability is given as 2 deg/hr but practically we got on an average of 4deg/hr, why?
Why the bias instability of BMI088 is not mentioned in its datasheet and why was it is mentioned in BMI088 flyer?

Hi Deviprasad,
The bias instability of each axis is different, usually the bias instability of the Z axis is larger than that of the X and Y axes.
Additionally, 2 deg/hr is a typical value, not a maximum value.

out of 57 only 11 sensors have bias instability < 2deg/hr and the average bias instability of of all X and Y axis sensors is at 3.2deg i.e more than typical value 2deg/hr,Please comment on this.
