The Asus Rog Ally has a BMI323 and recenty released native support for gyro, but it's horribly inaccurate and feels bad to use. When investigating I've found that Asus's Armoury Crate software only returns a polling rate of 75-80hz back as mouse output.
I've used two other programs that can translate gyro data into mouse output from the Rog Ally with the latest Bosch Accelerometer Windows driver 1.0.1.7 and both seem to be capping out at 100hz, Handheld Companion and Motion Assistant (from GPD discord). Motion Assistant has a debug window showing raw gyro data that looks like it's only sampling at a rate of 100hz.
I'm assuming this is a driver related isssue in Windows due to the fact that someone recently wrote a linux driver for the ROG Ally that can sample much higher rate, currently at 800hz. Is there a way to increase the polling rate to be significantly higher in windows or get a new driver? The Steam Deck's gyro can return a polling rate of 500hz and feels much more precise.
