BHI260AP: Adjusting PDR device position and PDR variant

Hi,

We are using a BHI260AP. We want to change the PDR variant and device position. In  the datasheet it is written that accesses of these parameters are RO. We want to use 9DoF variant instead of default 6DoF variant. In addition, the position of the device is set to the wrist position by default, we want to be able to change the position to head, shoes and backpack. Should we contact the distributor to change these parameters and get a suitable firmware or can we compile and build the firmware ourselves?

BHI260AP PDR was discontinued, not recommended for use in new designs.

Could we know some information about your end application?

Our aim is to achieve 9DoF/6DoF (we want it to be selectable depending on the user need) PDR using BHI260AP and BMM150 together. Moreover, we are planning to put the device in a backpack or place it on hand while doing this operation and we want this to be selectable also.

BHI260AP PDR firmware supports 6doF, but doesn't support BMM150.
